thoughtful article sir .... you wrote it in 2010 and all of us witnessed a nightmare on 30th july 2012 when the power grid failed for 24 hours across 21 states estimating a financial hitch of thousand crore rupees. It indeed is a single point of failure and the security must be ensured when you predicted that someone purposefully wants to harm it. That blackout affected the normal life of 680 million indians.
